He is passionate about helping people encounter Jesus, grow as followers and experience honest Christian community, and about making the Bible accessible for everyday life. Before leading The Lakes he served in a range of ministry and leadership roles. Geoff is married to Laura, who serves alongside him as Teaching Pastor, and together they are building a healthy, outward-looking church.

He stepped into the senior role in 2013 after eighteen years as the church's youth minister, so he leads with deep roots in the community he serves. A follower of Jesus who loves a barbecue, fishing and the footy, Rod is married to Leanne and they have three sons, Lewis, Noah and Jackson.
